Overview

We are looking for a Group Head – Art & Video who will act as the visual thinking engine of the agency. This role goes beyond creating compelling designs or videos — it requires strong conceptual thinking, creative leadership, and the ability to guide teams while also being hands-on when needed.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable operating as an Individual Contributor (IC) and stepping into a leadership role, driving both visual excellence and team growth. This is a leadership position for someone who leads by example, not authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead visual thinking and creative direction across multiple brands and campaigns.
  • Translate briefs into strong visual concepts, design systems, and video storytelling approaches.
  • Conceptualize and execute across formats including social media creatives, digital ads, brand films, reels, motion graphics, and long-form video content.
  • Act as an Individual Contributor on key brands, pitches, and high-priority deliverables.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of designers, DOPs, video editors, and motion artists.
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity, design language, and output quality across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with Copy, Strategy, Account Management, and Production teams.
  • Participate in client discussions, presentations, and creative walkthroughs.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to elevate the team's creative output.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and internal creative initiatives.
  • Must be comfortable with leveraging and guiding the team on GenAI tools for design, video, and content creation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, platform formats, visual styles, and evolving video consumption behavior.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in a creative, digital, or advertising agency.
  • Strong foundation in visual design, art direction, and video storytelling.
  • Proven ability to think conceptually and execute high-quality visual content.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a creative team.
  • Proficiency in design and video tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of videography principles, including composition, lighting, audio, and camera operation.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific formats (Instagram, YouTube, digital ads, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple brands and deadlines in an agency setup.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and creative curiosity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership temperament.
